
Project Manager
Lead end-to-end space engineering projects for ESA and major industry partners, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to high technical standards.
- Take the full responsibility of projects toward the management and customers.
- Identify project objectives and deliverables, planning and Cost at Completion (CaC).
- Develop project specifications, agree project plan baseline, resource requirements, milestones, and deadlines.
- Master and lead all aspects of projects from kick-off to final delivery all over the supply chain and internally with the engineering, production, and quality members of the project team.
- Build strong relationships with customers.
- Channel and master clear intra information all over the project team members that should stay motivated and share the common objectives to achieve planned outcomes.
- Daily drive project execution, perform project configuration and project controlling.
- Conduct reporting internally and externally through project progress reviews and internal reviews to manage that projects will be delivered on time, in budget and agreed standards.
- Track changes and issue claims and changes to contract in tight collaboration with the Contract Officer any time necessary to consolidate the contract and CaC.
- Support the Business & Commercial Dept for answering to customers’ demands (ITT/RFI/RFQ) and changes to running contract.
- Identify and capture lessons learned to enable continuous improvement.


Essential Qualifications for This Role
- Strong knowledge and passion for high level engineering and project management in a demanding environment.
- Technical curiosity and ability to quickly understand and analyse technical products/systems and their functions in multidisciplinary projects.
- Natural team leader and team player spirit interacting easily with a multi-national, multi-disciplinary team of high-level engineers from different disciplines.
- Strong soft skills to manage in a constructive way with the final client as well as with the different industrial partners and subcontractors. The goal is to defend Almatech interest while reaching project objectives (technical, quality, planning, cost) at the full satisfaction of the customers.
- Good knowledge of ECSS and space related applicable norms would be an asset.
- Fluent in English with good writing skills, willingness to learn French. German is a plus.
Education Required
Msc in Engineering type EPF/equivalent or HES, with a keen interest for projectmanagement.
Experience Needed
>5+ years of experience of project management in space structure, mechanism, orequivalent complex systems projects.
